Promotion is a vital thing in business. As a part of marketing strategy, promotion is concerned with strategic aspects that make the products or services offered by a company are known by public, or in this case, potential customers. Only by raising the popularity of the products or the services of a company, the marketing strategy can reach its goal; scoring as many sale as possible.
For this purpose, so many techniques can be adapted. For example by establishing or sponsoring an event that can attract as many people as possible, when they will be the potential costumers to which the products or the services are introduced. Or, one strategic method that many companies adapt is by releasing promotional products for the customers. Promotional products are released for the sake of promotion and not for the sake of benefit, meaning to say that these products are introductory products to let the potential customers know about the company; its profile, its range of other products, its advantages; and also the benefits that the potential customers can gain from the company through its products. These promotional items are usually given for free. If they are not free, at least, there will be a great discount for the items. For example, before the actual products, which are priced at $10, are released, the promotional items are released at, let’s say, $4 each, if not for free. By this huge discount, the customers will be expected to buy the items, get the advantages from the products, and later, buy the actual products.
Of course, the company always has to provide the promotional fund for these kinds of products. That is the price that they should pay for greater purpose. The use of promotional products has been proven to give a huge advantage for business marketing. This method will easily introduce the existence of the products or services for the customers.
